Anne has over 26 years of experience in early care and education.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Kansas State University. Go Wildcats! Anne has lived in this area for more than 20 years, having graduated from Blue Valley North High School. She continues to further her education through Master level Classes at Mid America Nazerene University as well as courses through KDHE, NAC, and AELL. Anne is currently an active member of the Association of Early Learning Leaders, a national organization for Owners and Directors of early care and education programs.
Anne has been part of the Special Beginnings team since 1991 when she began working with Infants and Toddlers. After graduating from K-State in 1992, she found her passion in early care and education and became a full time staff member. Anne has worked with all age groups and taught the first private full day Kindergarten class at Special Beginnings in 1995.
In 1996, Anne was promoted to Assistant Director and in 2001 earned the position of Director at SB Lenexa location. Currently, as Senior Director, Anne works closely with Mary Hornbeck to develop policies & procedures, plan company-wide family events, provide leadership other members of Administrative Team, as well as manage and lead Direct Care staff.
As the onsite Director in Lenexa she leads a staff of 25 with over 120 children enrolled.
In addition to her passion for early care and education, Anne is active in her community and at her children’s schools.
Anne and her husband Doug live in Olathe Kansas and are the proud parents of Gabrielle, a student at Kansas Student University, and Branden, who attends Blue Valley West High School.
